When getting ready to choose a Makeup Artist for a wedding, most brides have to decide for themselves whether they want Airbrush Makeup or Traditional Makeup. In order to make this decision you must know the main difference in the two.
With Traditional makeup, the foundation is applied with brushes/ sponges and can tend to give your face more of a "cakey" look if applied improperly. Traditional foundation is great for covering imperfections but if you are out in the heat on your wedding day, sometimes traditonal makeup can seem to disappear off the skin.
Airbrush Makeup is really popular with brides because it seems to last forever. Airbrush foundation gives you sheer- full coverage while allowing your skin to look smooth and flawless. Airbrush foundation allows your skin to breath through giving it a more natural appearance.
Your wedding is likely the biggest, BEST day of your life. Your have to look perfect! There are SO many options when you start looking into hair and makeup for your wedding or event. How do you narrow it down to just one makeup look and choose your hairstyle?!
With websites like www.pinterest.com it is so easy to browse through tons of pictures of glam makeup and hair and it makes choosing your style that much harder.
Most women go with the same traditional "bride" makeup. Soft and Romantic makeup photographs well and you want to make sure you choose a look that is going to be timeless. A lot of times we see a trend or some dramatic look and think that is something that would look really good but are you really going to want that to be what you see when you look at your wedding pictures in 10 years?
How you wear your hair can depend a lot on whether or not you have a veil, a tiara, flower hair piece, how much hair you have, ect. My suggestion is to go to a stylist that is great in all types of hair so you are not boxed in to one specific look if you decide to change your mind at the last minute.
And finally, DO A TRIAL RUN!!! If you don't take anything else away from this blog post take this! I can't tell you how many times we change hair and makeup and make tweaks from the trial to the actual wedding day. Being able to wear the makeup and see how the hairstyle looks on you before the day of your event is a huge plus.
